Dear Rocky Mountain High Alumni,
I pray that this letter finds you and your family doing well. I would like to take a moment to let you know some of the amazing things going on in our ministry as well as some opportunities for you to partner with us.
Last summer was an outstanding one for RMH. God blessed us with our highest attendance in over a decade. The truly awesome thing is that God didn’t just bless us with numbers, He blessed us with some amazing ministry that resulted in lives being impacted and changed for the Kingdom of God.
Last summer’s success has left us with a couple of needs that we would like to give you an opportunity to partner in with us. The first is in the area of scholarships. Last year we were given a generous gift of $5,000 for RMH scholarships, which allowed us to offer group discounts. This incentive was very successful, and helped lead to our record attendance, but utilized all of our scholarship money. We would like to replenish this account so that we can continue to offer this incentive.
The other glaring need we recognized last summer was in the area of our vehicles. The vehicles we have access to are limited, unreliable and aging. With the large numbers we achieved each session it was challenging to make sure we had the transportation we needed. We were lucky that when we needed extra vehicles we were able to borrow them from other programs. We would really like to purchase a late model used 15 passenger van or Suburban, which will give us the extra seating capacity to handle larger groups.
Our goal this spring is to raise $12,000 to replenish our scholarship account and to go towards the purchase of a new vehicle. We ask that you would prayerfully consider supporting us in meeting these needs. If you would like to make a donation there are two ways you can do it. If you would like to donate by credit card you can do so over the phone by calling the camp office at (719) 395-2328. If you would like to pay by check you can mail a check made out to Spring Canyon to Spring Canyon, ATTN: Mike McKean, PO Box 2047, Buena Vista, CO 81211. You will receive a tax receipt for any donation that you make.
